Read the image above......go ahead.....did you get it ? It says RARELY SEE WHAT IS RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU. The things we do for the things that will not make us happy and the people who will never understand us. Lost in the maze of life trying to understand why I am here ? Sounds familiar doesn't it ? At one point in time, we all will face this tragic question. 72 year old grandmother enrolled in University because she herself can't seem to answer the question. So don't feel bad if you are in your teens/twenties trying to find answers. These questions however, may never be answered, it is said that only a small amount of human beings tap into their true potential, like the ancient readings say " The road to life is narrow". Not to sound so pessimistic but I'm being completely honest with you, you might never get the answer to that question. WHY AM I HERE ? It all depends on how discipline and committed you really are. Now the picture above says RARELY,

End Corporal Punishment !!

Discipline is vital for a child's upbringing but it's the right type of discipline that enables a child to succeed without damaging them mentally. Spare the rod and spoil the child YES but you have been fooled. The Hebrew word for rod used in both the Psalms and Proverbs passages is ʺshabat.ʺ A shabat is specifically the rod used by a shepherd in caring for sheep. The shabat has five common practical uses:  1) it is the symbol of the shepherdʹs guardianship of the sheep; 2) it can be thrown with great accuracy just beyond the wandering sheep to send the animal scurrying back to the flock;  3) the shabat can be used to ward off an intruder and protect the sheep from any animals which may attack;  4) the sheep are counted as they ʺpass under the rod;ʺ 5) it is used to part the wool in order to examine the sheep for disease, wounds or defects which may be treated. There is no evidence that the rod is ever used to physically strike the she

We Shall Overcome !

The story starts off with a little boy black in the ghetto. No matter what he does it's back to the ghetto no choice but to adapt to the ghetto, so he adapts to the ghetto - Juelz Santana It easy to look down on people when you have a slight advantage( and i say slight because in a split second you can lose that advantage) but its even harder to give them a hand because of the fear that, too much help can land you in that same situation. I believe this is the mental process of most successful ghetto raised individuals who can come back and curb the problem but choose not to.  The problem is, the Willie Lynch Syndrome is still mentally embedded in most black people so it's hard to override 3 centuries of psychological programming in one year or even a decade. On one of my videos, I will explain exactly what the Willie Lynch Syndrome is. But my point is I'm tired of the ghetto and I would love to be an advocate for rebuilding stronger communities that serves us all. I

Writing calms the soul :-)

I was never was the type to write honestly, but the more books you read the more you are inclined to write something because you begin to see the light lol. You know in The Matrix when Neo sees green and black numbers after he finds out his true potential? That's what reading does. Your mind just opens up, it's a beautiful process. I been contemplating on a personal blog for some time now and here I am, I love thinking things out clearly so sorry for the wait if you needed this blog in your life :). As the above quote states, I will blog what I live !!!! so sorry if I'm missing sometimes, but shot me an email  and I will be happy to talk to you about anything. Utilize the 20 minute free chat I'm offering if you need help and comment sometimes, I want to know what you are thinking.  Be Safe, Play Some Conscious

Can't Forget Your Past

Image
The day of leaving my country one of my mentors will call me and stress the importance of my returning and not forgetting where I came from. As I meditate on his words today and that was said the word Sankofa came to mind. One of my favorite symbols of Africa, is the one that sits across from this text, and I will explain now what it means, well I will borrow a definition and then tell you what it means to me :) sounds much better lol...Moving on!!!  Sankofa is an Akan word that means, "We must go back and reclaim our past so we can move forward; so we understand why and how we came to be who we are today." The Akan (Ghanaian vernacular) word, Sankofa means "one must return to the past in order to move forward." The symbol of Sankofa is that of a bird whose head is faced in the opposite direction of its body. This is emphasising on the fact that even though the bird is advancing, it periodically makes it a point to examine/ return to it's past,

Why you should pray!!!

There's no better feeling in the world when you find someone who understands your whole entire being. I think people who are madly in love can relate to this feeling; it puts you in state of blissfulness. What I'm referring to is my conversation with the creator who goes by many names but I will call in the Most High. Living at the speed in which modern society lives; one can easily feel unappreciated, not valued, not loved, no attachment. It's a horrible feeling trying to get the someone to understand who are especially someone who you care about. To be really honest with you I don't think no one will ever understand who you are ,so stop trying!!. I know it's feels horrible to be misunderstood but it's feels even worst being someone who you are truly not. My conversations with the Most High is not about being understood by the world but being appreciated for my gift by this world. People misconceptions of you; do not define you; the choices you make do. Yo

Money Problems People ? - Read This Book !!!

Image
This book has been recommended to me so many times; I couldn't help but read it, to fully understand what it was people was raving about. I won't go into detail about the book but I will tell you what areas can improve on your life after you read it and also revealed to you the biggest trap 85 percent of people in the world fall victim to.  The book teaches you about the way a rich man thinks as oppose to a poor man mentality and how society deceives us by linking college degrees to success. The books tell us that even lawyers, doctors and CEO struggle financially because they have a poor man's way of thinking. Yes you either think rich or poor. For example A poor thought would be " I can't afford this" while a rich thought would be " how can I afford this ?" the difference is saying " I CAN'T" sends messages to the brain that you've have given up while saying "how" tells the brain that it needs to work to solve this p

#BLACKLIVESMATTER has written its name in history

Image
Though we won't see Black Lives Matter go down on the same level as the Black Panthers, Marcus Garvey, Malcolm X and Martin Luther King; this movement definitely deserves it's place in history for destroying social media with it's presence; ABSOLUTELY MONUMENTAL!!!!!!. Black Lives Matter brought about a media presence that the black communities of America needed not to mention exposure to the fact that systematic oppression of black people is still prevalent today and many can argue why but the truth is because blacks still haven't established themselves worldly as a economic powerhouse though Africa is the richest nation by resources in the world. President Mugabe of Zimbabwe has taken great leaps in showing the world that blacks can stand without the assistance of European/American powers, however, his support isn't seen through the whole continent of Africa, which, shows that though we have produce capable leaders; without the proper support, their progre
