Don't You Ever Quit!!

Image
Don't ask me how I did it, ask me why I did it !! We often go through life pursuing selfish ambitions because we believe that satisfying our desires is the ultimate goal of life. Though self satisfaction does play a part in living a fulfilling life; it only plays a small role. Christ taught us that the greatest commandment is loving thy brother as thy self. Doing for others the same you would do for yourself is the greatest law of the universe. This law is what powers me day in and day out, knowing that I am not doing this for me. I often hear people say their lives change when they have a baby, well, it because of this same reason, when you start providing the love for another being that you provided for yourself then you instill a balance in your life. What balance ? Well the Chinese people illustrates the balance of life more vividly than any other nation in my opinion of course, so I would ask you to google "Yin and Yang Meaning" . You see this world operates on

I want to go home(Africa)

Image
E very time I watch videos like the one above I can almost be brought to tears because it's my hearts desire to return home one day, I was born in the Turks and Caicos but I never felt like I belonged their for some reason, though, I can justify this feeling based on my personality being somewhat "shy". I just never felt at home, when my grandmother lost her house in a hurricane 6 years ago, the house that held all my childhood and teenage memories, I didn't even feel anything. That lost was like a reminder to me that, this place isn't my home. I have had people laugh at me, diss Africa and talk down on my dream but I know what I want, I want to be free, I want to go somewhere that will appreciate me and welcome me with open arms and I believe deeply in Africa being that destination. I feel like I'm always playing catch up whenever I learn something new about Africa because of the European and American educational systems of my country. Stuff I s

Must Read Book !!! - For All Religious God Fearing People !!!

Image
This book is an eye opener for people who are trying to discover who they are(identity) especially blacks. It is a book that will have you googling a lot of things as you read because of how much biblical evidence it presents. It uses the bible to supports its arguments a lot, which can be hard to follow at times since the bible is the only source the author sticks to throughout the text. For me I try to understand the bible based on the time period in which events occurred and not compare it to modern day society. For example, modern day biblical beliefs of piercings and tattoos are often considered to be markings of the beast and satanic, though, these practices are rooted in paganism, the main reason God ask us to abstain from them in the bible was based on the economic and communal era of that time. Since the bible is an African book, the people of that time was people of color, to distinguish themselves from other people, tribes would pierce their skin and get tattoos in the n

Must Read Book !!!! To All My Historians

Image
You know that phrase "Don't judge a book by it's cover?" I must admit I fell victim to that and was left speechless after completing this book. From the cover I thought, well, I'm going to read a book about black civilizations thriving in great wealth. I was aware of Timbuktu being an great city so I thought , I would read about how great the city actually was. WRONG lol, oh boy was I wrong. Listen if you love black history? GET THIS BOOK!!!! I will give you a little insight and leave the rest to you so that you can do your reading and hit me back up to discuss it. So here are some areas this book covers: 1) It gives readers an insight of the religion that dominated the world before Christianity 2) It breaks down the origins of  racial division(Blacks,Whites, Yellow People) and why it happened 3) It proposes where the white race originated from 4) It provides a history not taught in schools or in fact among the Black community 5) Lastly and my fav

Gone Until December....

Image
It pains my soul to type this because I'm actually addicted to blogging now but I will be leaving you guys for a few weeks due to exam preparations. I honestly don't support exams though I'm surprisingly good at them but in general it's a horrible way to test someone's intellectual abilities. I think the process should be an all term thing but higher powers are to lazy to admit the current structure is flawed. Note to self...redesign educational structure:-) Anyway..... I pray you guys have a great November, please read my previous post, I do put a lot of thinking into typing them for you guys to benefit. There's a lot of helpful tips in each one of them. The first week of December shall be my return, after my two days of hibernation after the exams lol... I will still check emails so continue hitting me up... Peace and Love always, Leo

Understanding the number 11 - Life Path & Angel Communication

Image
I'm not sure how many of you guys study numerology but it is equally important as knowing the alphabet, my opinion ofcourse. I don't know if you ever had a dream of a number and the first thing that came to mind was "Play The Lotto" !!! lol Don't feel guilty, it's a very modern day thing to do, however, those numbers are worth more than millions. I'll tell you why shortly. It's now the month of  November the Eleventh ( 11) month of the year. Emphasis on 11!!!... The number 11 is what I will be talking about today. I am going to show you what seeing number really means to your life and how you potentially was missing messages from God all along !!!.. Are you ready ? I will use the number 11 for my demonstration. First Number we are going to look at is a Life Path Number ....... The Life Path is the most important number in your numerology chart and is derived from your date of birth. It reveals your most fulfilling direc

No Place Like Home

I never change the time on my watch when I moved to the United Kingdom. For those who are reading this for the first time I'm from the Turks and Caicos Islands (Next to the Bahamas if it's your first time hearing the name). There's a 4-5 hour time difference between these two countries. Want to know why I didn't change the time on my watch ??? Well.... Sankofa!! I gave my mentor my word that I wont forget where I came from, I wont forget what and who made me who I am today. I didn't change the time because I always want to remember that this place isn't permanent, it's a temporary stop to the destination I'm heading to. Home is where my heart will always be and I will never forget where I came from, though I'm not as patriotic about the country itself due to personal reasons, I do love the people,  I must admit.  This wasn't much of an informative post like others, however, I just wanted you to know that you should never forget what ma

5 Things You Didn't Know About Being Successful

Image

Search....Searching.....Found!!!!

Read the image above......go ahead.....did you get it ? It says RARELY SEE WHAT IS RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU. The things we do for the things that will not make us happy and the people who will never understand us. Lost in the maze of life trying to understand why I am here ? Sounds familiar doesn't it ? At one point in time, we all will face this tragic question. 72 year old grandmother enrolled in University because she herself can't seem to answer the question. So don't feel bad if you are in your teens/twenties trying to find answers. These questions however, may never be answered, it is said that only a small amount of human beings tap into their true potential, like the ancient readings say " The road to life is narrow". Not to sound so pessimistic but I'm being completely honest with you, you might never get the answer to that question. WHY AM I HERE ? It all depends on how discipline and committed you really are. Now the picture above says RARELY,

End Corporal Punishment !!

Image
Discipline is vital for a child's upbringing but it's the right type of discipline that enables a child to succeed without damaging them mentally. Spare the rod and spoil the child YES but you have been fooled. The Hebrew word for rod used in both the Psalms and Proverbs passages is ʺshabat.ʺ A shabat is specifically the rod used by a shepherd in caring for sheep. The shabat has five common practical uses:  1) it is the symbol of the shepherdʹs guardianship of the sheep; 2) it can be thrown with great accuracy just beyond the wandering sheep to send the animal scurrying back to the flock;  3) the shabat can be used to ward off an intruder and protect the sheep from any animals which may attack;  4) the sheep are counted as they ʺpass under the rod;ʺ 5) it is used to part the wool in order to examine the sheep for disease, wounds or defects which may be treated. There is no evidence that the rod is ever used to physically strike the she

We Shall Overcome !

The story starts off with a little boy black in the ghetto. No matter what he does it's back to the ghetto no choice but to adapt to the ghetto, so he adapts to the ghetto - Juelz Santana It easy to look down on people when you have a slight advantage( and i say slight because in a split second you can lose that advantage) but its even harder to give them a hand because of the fear that, too much help can land you in that same situation. I believe this is the mental process of most successful ghetto raised individuals who can come back and curb the problem but choose not to.  The problem is, the Willie Lynch Syndrome is still mentally embedded in most black people so it's hard to override 3 centuries of psychological programming in one year or even a decade. On one of my videos, I will explain exactly what the Willie Lynch Syndrome is. But my point is I'm tired of the ghetto and I would love to be an advocate for rebuilding stronger communities that serves us all. I

Writing calms the soul :-)

Image
I was never was the type to write honestly, but the more books you read the more you are inclined to write something because you begin to see the light lol. You know in The Matrix when Neo sees green and black numbers after he finds out his true potential? That's what reading does. Your mind just opens up, it's a beautiful process. I been contemplating on a personal blog for some time now and here I am, I love thinking things out clearly so sorry for the wait if you needed this blog in your life :). Life is a unique journey for everyone but we all have similar experiences and it's my hope that my experiences helps you to progress throughout life. As the above quote states, I will blog what I live !!!! so sorry if I'm missing sometimes, but shot me an email  and I will be happy to talk to you about anything. Utilize the 20 minute free chat I'm offering if you need help and comment sometimes, I want to know what you are thinking.  Be Safe, Play Some Conscious

Can't Forget Your Past

Image
The day of leaving my country one of my mentors will call me and stress the importance of my returning and not forgetting where I came from. As I meditate on his words today and that was said the word Sankofa came to mind. One of my favorite symbols of Africa, is the one that sits across from this text, and I will explain now what it means, well I will borrow a definition and then tell you what it means to me :) sounds much better lol...Moving on!!!  Sankofa is an Akan word that means, "We must go back and reclaim our past so we can move forward; so we understand why and how we came to be who we are today." The Akan (Ghanaian vernacular) word, Sankofa means "one must return to the past in order to move forward." The symbol of Sankofa is that of a bird whose head is faced in the opposite direction of its body. This is emphasising on the fact that even though the bird is advancing, it periodically makes it a point to examine/ return to it's past,

Why you should pray!!!

There's no better feeling in the world when you find someone who understands your whole entire being. I think people who are madly in love can relate to this feeling; it puts you in state of blissfulness. What I'm referring to is my conversation with the creator who goes by many names but I will call in the Most High. Living at the speed in which modern society lives; one can easily feel unappreciated, not valued, not loved, no attachment. It's a horrible feeling trying to get the someone to understand who are especially someone who you care about. To be really honest with you I don't think no one will ever understand who you are ,so stop trying!!. I know it's feels horrible to be misunderstood but it's feels even worst being someone who you are truly not. My conversations with the Most High is not about being understood by the world but being appreciated for my gift by this world. People misconceptions of you; do not define you; the choices you make do. Yo

Money Problems People ? - Read This Book !!!

Image
This book has been recommended to me so many times; I couldn't help but read it, to fully understand what it was people was raving about. I won't go into detail about the book but I will tell you what areas can improve on your life after you read it and also revealed to you the biggest trap 85 percent of people in the world fall victim to.  The book teaches you about the way a rich man thinks as oppose to a poor man mentality and how society deceives us by linking college degrees to success. The books tell us that even lawyers, doctors and CEO struggle financially because they have a poor man's way of thinking. Yes you either think rich or poor. For example A poor thought would be " I can't afford this" while a rich thought would be " how can I afford this ?" the difference is saying " I CAN'T" sends messages to the brain that you've have given up while saying "how" tells the brain that it needs to work to solve this p

#BLACKLIVESMATTER has written its name in history

Image
Though we won't see Black Lives Matter go down on the same level as the Black Panthers, Marcus Garvey, Malcolm X and Martin Luther King; this movement definitely deserves it's place in history for destroying social media with it's presence; ABSOLUTELY MONUMENTAL!!!!!!. Black Lives Matter brought about a media presence that the black communities of America needed not to mention exposure to the fact that systematic oppression of black people is still prevalent today and many can argue why but the truth is because blacks still haven't established themselves worldly as a economic powerhouse though Africa is the richest nation by resources in the world. President Mugabe of Zimbabwe has taken great leaps in showing the world that blacks can stand without the assistance of European/American powers, however, his support isn't seen through the whole continent of Africa, which, shows that though we have produce capable leaders; without the proper support, their progre

Change Happens - Read This Book

Image
This book comes highly on my list and has kept me very productive  this year. The story would make you laugh and teach you valuable lessons about having a productive life, the values of change and why it's bad to be complacent. When I was first given the book, I looked at the person in disbelief with a facial expression like " Do I Look Like A Child ?" but my friend assisted that I read the book and I would love it, well I did since it was such a small book; it wouldn't kill me to read it right ?. And boy did I love the story; one of my best reads yet :) Who Moved My Cheese is a simple story about four characters who live in a maze.  Their very purpose for being is the pursuit and enjoyment of “Cheese” . Many of you can associate this Cheese with Religion, Jobs, Relationships, Money, etc whatever is your "Cheese". Early on in their lives, all four characters discover “Cheese Station C”; a great wealth of cheese that they enjoy for a very long time.

Missing In Action At Times - Email Me

Image
Hey Lovely Readers, I just started University recently so bare with me if I miss a few days in a row without posting some cool insightful stuff, that would help you become a more productive being to society; hence I say to society, and, not personal development, but more of your social calling. We live in a world today that's consume with chasing personal gains and accomplishments while neglecting the most important thing God created on this planted which is the human being. I believe you must look at humanity in everything you do in order to live a more fulfilling life. Research has proven that humans are at their happiest when they are around other human beings; money, marriage, and degrees were all tested but the highest happy rating came when humans socialize with friends and family. I'm not surprise by this at all; but this might kill your mood, reading this; OH WELL. Moving on.. Yes I'm famous for going off topic, as we know by now but, don't you just enjo

Living A More Relax Life - READ THIS BOOK !!!

Image
One day I was given this book by one of my managers who at the time wanted to be my mentor well that didn't work out to our liking , but, the book was definitely eye opener.  The Four Agreements is a very basic and easy book to read even a toddler would be able to grasp the knowledge of the book. It's funny how the simple things in life truly brings you  the most joy and satisfaction. The book works on self development using four agreements with yourself that will propel to living a happier, less stressful life. To be honest, 99percent of the things we stress about is self inflicted stress meaning, because we lack knowledge of the situation we stress about it. That's all it truly is, is knowledge; you go to church and seminars to get knowledge to deal with your life problems correct ? Exactly!! Someone who is stressed a lot is usually someone of low intellect, "Well I have a degree, I have knowledge why am I so stressed then" one may say. Oh boy these people !!

C.R.E.A.M - Cash Rules Everything Around Me !!          All started with me and my mother having a conversation about money, now my mom is very into her bible like most people of her generation, church is a way of life. Here's how the conversation went: Me : I have this book that will teach you how to make money, you know be more conscious of how you spend it. Mom : You know money is the root to all evil ? Me : Well, yes but I believe the love of money is though Mom : *Thinks* well yes the love of money, well how to explain Jesus actions when he saw people making money and he destroyed the shop. Me: He did that because they was selling those things in the Holy Temple. Mom : *Thinks* Slightly Agrees                What my mom failed to understand is that we "Human Beings' control money so what money does is a reflection of oursleves. No one makes clothes anymore so we need money for that, no one rides horses anymore, we need taxi money,a car or a bike
