Don't You Ever Quit!!

Don't ask me how I did it, ask me why I did it!! We often go through life pursuing selfish ambitions because we believe that satisfying our desires is the ultimate goal of life. Though self satisfaction does play a part in living a fulfilling life; it only plays a small role. Christ taught us that the greatest commandment is loving thy brother as thy self. Doing for others the same you would do for yourself is the greatest law of the universe.

 This law is what powers me day in and day out, knowing that I am not doing this for me. I often hear people say their lives change when they have a baby, well, it because of this same reason, when you start providing the love for another being that you provided for yourself then you instill a balance in your life.

What balance ? Well the Chinese people illustrates the balance of life more vividly than any other nation in my opinion of course, so I would ask you to google "Yin and Yang Meaning". You see this world operates on the law of balance, the balance was created when Eve came into existence(Adam and Eve). Since love is the most powerful emotion, it must be balanced with tremendous effort. How do you balance love ? By loving others the same way you love yourself!!!

I do it for the balance, I do it for humanity, I do it because I see myself in everyone I am in close contact with. Someone did the same for me to be here and I am truly happy they did and so I am basically paving the way for the person who comes after me. Like the picture says " Today's mighty oak is just yesterday's nut that held its ground."

Both of my mentors has been grilling me for my attitude lately and yes I am confessing that I was trying to force a lot of things to happen. I got worried, I allowed the fear of the future to get me completely out of my grove. I remember I would wake up hungry, ready to take on the challenges of the day and lately I've had mornings, where I didn't want to even face the reality of what my life was. Why am I still in my box?

A year ago my mentor sent me an email about me being inside of box- not showing the world who I am, what my talents are and the gift that God has given me. Eventually I learned how to come out of my box while living in the UK and I was able to impact a few lives while doing so.  Living inside the box was safe, no one knew me, no one expected anything of me, I could be free well at least that was the illusion I was selling to myself. In contrast, living outside of the box created a passion, it made me feel valuable, it showed me my purpose in this world and that was real freedom - knowing everyday that I can impact the world just by being who I was meant to be, created a feeling of "flying" in my soul. I actually love being outside of the box although I am more vulnerable there but I think venerability is the one thing that allows people to connect with you. How do I make progress this year ? 1. Tackling the biggest misconception about new year's resolutions(NYR) - It does not have to start at the beginning of the year. Most people begin the year believing that change must be made instantly. It does not work like that. Change just like anything in the world that is worth having, takes time. Change is like a seed, you plant it, water it and make sure it is getting exposure to sunlight. By doing those things, you have made an effort and the rest is up to the universe to decide whether you are ready for a new plant(change) in your life.
